Katie believes in teaching from the heart, and she sets that as her intention and foundation as a teacher. Katie was introduced to yoga in her teen years, however it wasn’t until 2011 that she began her practice. In 2013, shortly after the start of her dedicated practice, she received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training (RYT) certification and has been teaching ever since. Katie’s classes take you on a journey that will be different every day. She uses her intuitive gifts to create intentional sequences, to guide students through mindful movements, and to speak meaningful words. Her classes will both challenge and calm you mentally and physically, allowing for more balance to be invited into your being. Coming from a background of dance, Katie incorporates the connection between breath and body, heart and head, and the power of movement and music.
She believes the practice of yoga connects us back to ourselves by peeling back the mental and physical layers to reveal a more flexible person both in body and mind. Katie teaches all levels, and all styles. She also holds a level 2 reiki certification, aerial yoga certificate and has a love for the sound healing energy of crystal singing bowls, which she incorporates into her classes often. Katie strives to make yoga accessible for all, and creates a special and safe space for all to breathe and move, sit and surrender; and above all, to feel free.
